granito de oro is a tiny islet in the coiba national park island group, on the pacific side of panama. it’s everything you imagine of a teensy tropical island – it’s tiny enough to swim around, has a thriving coral reef, complete with sharks and turtles, and the perfect white sand under perfect green palm trees. it’s also remote: to get to coiba, you have to either already be on a boat, or you have to get a ponga from santa catalina (a little over an hour.)
